Lionel A. Lofton

A native of Houston, Texas, Lionel has been interested in Art since childhood. He formally studied at Texas Southern University, Prairie ViewA&M and University of Houston, Clear Lake.

The imagery of Lionel Lofton often illustrates the concepts of inner strength, spirituality, beauty, family and children. His paintings and prints have a quiet and introspective air about them, not unlike their creator.

Lionel paints and draws his everyday life’s experiences. He believes that ‘’Art is a part of Living’’. He is greatly inspired by everyday life and uses figurative and abstract techniques to create the various images.

His work can be found in many public and private collections, as well as Corporate Collections: Harmon and Harriet Kelly Collection, the Paul Jones Collections, Dr. and Mrs. Clyde Lord’s, The University Museum of the University of Delaware, Dr. Sivan Hines and Dr. Jeff Hines.
